Senior Project

During my year abroad in Scandinavia, I lived and breathed design that elevated the little moments of daily living. I admired especially the vibrant every-day textiles that allowed me to wrap myself inside the color and imagery I might otherwise only admire from a distance.

Introduced to a range of styles as I moved between countries, I noticed, for example, how the pastel geometric patterns on Danish tea towels complemented the more organic and exuberant prints of Swedish and Finnish dresses. I returned to the U.S. inspired and eager to create a collection of textiles for the home that captured the thread of playful experimentation with color I followed across the region.
